Brothers all,

I would remind you that the, Children’s Charities Fundraiser, ticket drawing will be Sunday July 24th starting at 4pm. There will be live music, beverages and the kitchen will be open.

I would like to thank all the brothers who sold extra tickets.

Thank you brothers who fulfilled part of their obligation, as brothers in our division, to buy and or sell their 10 tickets.

Those of the brothers who have not returned their tickets , there is still time. Bring your stubs and money to the Columbian Home Sunday between 1 and 3 o’clock, to ensure your chance in the drawing for the Trip to Ireland.

Brothers, We are having a Hibernian night out! In cooperation w/ ALLENTOWN BREWWORKS ON THE GREEN, we will have a get together on MARCH 3rd.

What better way to open the St Patrick’s Season!!!! ALL ARE WELCOME! Bring your family! There will be drink specials, appetizer specials ETC!!!! If you have a friend that would be interested in Joining bring him down to the BREWWORKS on the Green to meet your fellow Brothers. It will be a nice friendly night out! Check your newsletter!!!

AOH Irish Christmas Appeal

The National AOH has supported it for years. Please take the time, go on the site, there is plenty of information on the good work your donation does.

This is a $10.00 club. Our division collects for this fundraiser every year and sent hundreds of dollars to our national chairman. The checks are then given to Irish organizations during the Annual Bloody Sunday trip to Ireland.

On Sunday, Dec.19th, from noon to 3 PM, there will be a children’s Christmas party with Santa and his elves at the Columbian Home.
All children and grandchildren of our division’s brothers are invited. Children’s age 10 years and younger. This event is a joint venture between the Columbian Home, K of C and the AOH.
To prepare for this event and make it successful,
you must register your child by Dec. 5th.

Donation: Per Adult - $5.00 & an unwrapped “new toy” for Joe’s Kids!

*** Toys are needed for infants to 16 year olds. ***

Please – “No toys of a violent nature.”

Tonight you will have access to the entire Saville inquiry report on our national web site. It is a huge document and a huge victory for the families who have been fighting for this since 1972. Now those murdered on Bloody Sunday, can finally rest in peace knowing that the world knows that they were exonerated from any wrongdoing and it was just the British lies and propaganda machine at work for the past 38 years. It will finally give the families closure and those murdered, rest in peace.

Day of the Rope Mass in Jim Thorpe

On Saturday June 19 th at 10 am, there will be The Day of the Rope mass in Jim Thorpe at the old Carbon County prison . This Mass is in honor of the Hibernians who were hung as Molly’s. If we get enough people to travel together, I will hire a bus and driver to transport for about $12.00 a person. More info after meeting. Leave Atown 8 am , Mass, go to Molly’s for lunch socialize with Carbon County brothers after, leave Jim Thorpe about 3, be back 4 pm. Most subject to change. Mass will be at 10. Contact Bro. Division Meeting Change

Brothers all,

The highest Holy Day on the Irish calendar is March 17th, Saint Patrick’s Day. This year it falls the 3rd Wednesday of the month, on our regular AOH division’s general meeting night. Due to this conflict of vital interest, the division’s general meeting will be held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, March 10th at 7:30 pm.

The officers meeting will be at 6 pm prior to the meeting, not the first wed. of the month, March 3rd. I will send a notice out again as a reminder later this week. Information on parades will be sent out soon as transportation is arranged. Check your email.
