Celtic Classic Alliance Hell or High Water Kilted Sponsored Walk
Posted by admin under: Celtic Classic .
We’re having a festival come Hell or high water Kilted sponsored walk May 17th ,2009
Celtic Classic took a bath in 2008 and needs to raise at least $50,000 in a hurry
Our plan is to have a sponsored march complete with Bagpipe bands, Irish and Scottish dancers, AOH divisions, clubs, teams from local Pubs, Celtic Cultural Alliance members and supporters, Celtic Classic Volunteers, and friends of the Festival. Hopefully we will have State Representatives, Congressmen and our own City Mayor and council – if possible all in kilts if possible.
The March will start on the Northside of town and will go down Main street and through the Festival grounds, over the Fahey Bridge and to the South Side of town. After a break for some festivities the group will come back over the bridge to main Street and will finish up on Walnut street for some more piping and dancing.
The goal is to have all the walkers collect pledges in advance and if all the walkers collect $100 in pledges each or more and we get 500 people we will reach our goal.
Registration fee is $25 and each walker will get a T shirt – anyone reaching the $100 goal will receive a Celtic Classic Pin and will get a free one year Friend membership in CCA.
